Stephen Dorff Steps His Game Up in Wheeler
If you couldn’t get enough of the good music-themed movies on your watch-list this year, well, along with new year’s resolutions, 2017 is going to bring a great gift for the cinephiles.
Momentum Pictures recently released their trailer for the upcoming faux-documentary Wheeler, centered on the music industry and it’s a catch. Nashville-set music-tale unveils an aspiring musician, who follows his lifelong dream of becoming a country music star. The twist is in Stephen Dorff’s performance—the actor donned prosthetic makeup to truly get into character, immersing in the city’s community without being recognized. That’s how he could visit some of the Nashville’s most iconic venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Blue Bird Café. As part of the disguise, Dorff also pulls off his best country accent and goes around performing live in front of unknowing audiences and meeting face-to-face with country legend Kris Kristofferson.
Ryan Ross, the Wheeler’s director, structured the movie around anonymity, but perhaps, most importantly, he managed to create the authentic immersing experience. The fans at the Bluebird Café, where Stephen Dorff performed, were unaware that it was him and they’ve got a chance to relieve the moment of movie-creating, once they get to the cinema. Wheeler is up for the release in cinemas and on demand on February 3rd, and while waiting you can get the mood-setting single “Pour Me Out of This Town” on iTunes.
Wheeler将在2月3日上映，在等待的期间你可以先行在iTunes上欣赏单曲“Pour Me Out Of This Town”。
